rosebugs

Question
I have grape vines that are being overrun by rosebugs.
is there a safe effective way to get rid of these pests?
"bag a bug" traps are not working fast enough!!
HELP!!

Answer
Dave,

I'm not sure what you mean by rosebugs but "bag a bug" refers to Japanese beetles which are severe pests of roses. If you mean Japanese beetles here's a link to some general information, including control, http://www.livingwithbugs.com/japanese_beetle.html that may be useful.

In the short term you'll need to use some kind of insecticidal control (see the page cited above for a low toxicity alternative to conventional insecticides) but in the long run Milky Spore is the best approach.
