Question
There are very small black and narrow insects in my kitchen. I would like to know what they are. They aren't but 1/16 to 1/8 of an inch. They do not bite that I am aware of. I found them in a container of flour as well as the the dogs food. I've seen them on the counter tops and in the silverware drawer and in the cabinets. I noticed them for a couple of weeks and now none (living). Any more specific info for a determination please ask. Thank you for your time and hopefully an answer.

Could you post a picture? There are lots of different insects that fit this description (small, black and narrow) so I'll need a bit more to work with. Also, tell me where you live (city/state).
