Question
I live in Mi. zone 6 My question is how do I get rid od lily of the valley that are taking over my shade border garden? They are smothering everythin I never planted them to begin with and we have lived here for 22 years they weren't bad to begin with . I also have 2 Jack Russells and you never know what they are going to do I'm afraid they might try one so I'd really like to get rid of them their roots spread every where do they also go deep?

If you want to get totally rid of them, spray them with "Roots 'n All" or some similiar product that kills systemically-down to the roots.  Cover other plants that you don't want killed when you do this.  The rhizomes grow about 6" deep and will travel.....
