Plant shampoo

Question
Charlotte,
Have you ever heard of Plant Shampoo? If so what is it? Is it organic? Is it a manufactured product or can I make it? I've seen on the Jerry Baker site that he reccommends it with other home remedies for a healthy green lawn but I don't want to go away from organic.
Thanks for all your help!

Answer
Hi Becky;
I have NOT visited Jerry Baker's site, but I have read his brochures about his biook, and ordered one.
TOTAL waste of money!!!!!
It is full of stuff that you can read on any website, or any other advice book or website, and an awful lot of things that don't do diddly sqwat.
He recommends beer, liquor, lots of things like that for lawns.
That is because they have SUGAR in them. It is the sugar that does the benefit. Plain table sugar costs MUCH less than beer, and a whole world less than good Bourbon, and does more good.
That plant shampoo is a lot of hooey.
It doesn't do any more than washing your grass when you water it with plain water.
Washing the grass does NO benefit.
There is NOTHING in that that benefits the lawn.
Disregard that and 90% of the other stuff he has to say.
He just gathers hints wherever he reads or hears them, conpiles them into a bok and sells it.
I doubt he can grow silk flowers and keep them alive.LOL
