Question
We have seeded our lawn and put the straw overlay down to protect it etc. It has been 3 weeks now and the grass is coming up now but I would not say that it is thick by any means. Do we continue to keep the straw on the grass?

Answer
it depends on how much straw is down. If it's pretty much covered, then get it off. If it is just a light layer where you can see about 50% of the soil through it, then you can leave it there. It'll naturally break down soon enough.
