Question
I have heard you can use sugar to control weeds and rid your lawn of fire ants, but will it hurt the trees and shrubs in the landscape? I have just purchased a new home and the lawn is less than perfect, very little grass and lots of weeds. Help

Believe it or not, this is likely the MOST asked question I receive. Unfortunately, the answer is no. This is a web based myth, and I have no idea why it has gained such momentum. Feel free to try if you'd like, but it is my experience that you would be wasting your time.
