Sprinkler head dry


Question
I have 5 working stages on my sprinkler system. One system however doe not work. I have taken out the sprinkler head and can see there is no water coming to it. I have two of these dry sprinklers in my one stage that does not work. Any suggestions?  Happy Thanksgiving.

Thank you for your e-mail. Have you checked out the valve it self? There is a knob that you turn to adjust the water flow through the valve. Another thing could be a broken pipe or even a clogged pipe. If the valve is not working it could be several things like, the diaphragm is not opening, or it could be clogged, or flow control knob turned down. You may have to track the pipe that water is suppose to running through and dig it up to see if it is broken some where. If it is a long run from the valve bank to the last head on that line. It would be cheaper  in the long run and you will know where the line is. If that is something you want to do, you can either use the old pipes trench for the new pipe. Just dig out several inches from the top of the old pipe, and yank the old pipe out. Ater the pipe is out, before to clear eat the
