Question
I have a system with 3 zones.  About 2yr ago, the 1st zone started to have problems.  It work for a few days then stop for a couple of days.  This occured for 1 season.  Last year, it stopped working all together and has not worked to date.  The other  work just fine.  Help, I'm tired of dragging the sprinkler and hose around.

Sounds like your problem is with the valve or the wiring for that station.  Start by checking the wire connections to the valve, make sure that they are good and waterproof.  If this doesnt help, you may want to consider replacing the solenoid on the valve, or since the system is 11 years old, replace the valve entirely.  These things are mechanical, and do wear out over time.
