RD-900 hardie System

Question
We are now under water restrictions here in San Antonio. We can water from 0300-0800 and from 2000-2200 on the same day. I want to water on positions 1,3,4,5,6 on the 0300 to 0800 interval and on 2,7,8,9 on the 2000-2200 interval. How do I set it up? I tried by putting positions 1,3,4,5,6 on the 0300+ interval and 2,7,8,9 positions on the 2000+ interval. The 0300+ interval was put on Program Selector Switch A. The 2000+interval was put on Selector Switch B. It didn't work. After the 0300+ interval was completed, I switched the switch to "B". Nevertheless, it started on position 1. And, the time was for 1 hour, the same as on Switch A. So, as I write this, I am doing the evening stuff manually. Is there any way on this system that I can do this without resorting to manually doing the evening segement. Thanx, Joe SCHAEFER!

Answer
Hey  Joe, I hope this helps. I'm going to try to run you through the steps to program this. Not knowing how many minutes you want each station/valve to run, I'm going to say 15 minutes, but set them for as long as you feel is right. Okay, starting with the A,B,C switch, put it in A, and put the switch at the bottom, to the center, where it says "set programs". Now put the dial to station/valve time for station#1, hit the plus or minus button to adjust to the amount of time you want it to run for (15minutes). Go to station #2 and put the time on this to off(zero). Go to station #3 and put this time to 15 minutes(or whatever time you need to set it for). Go  to station #4 and set this for 15 minutes. Go to station #5 and set this for 15 minutes. Go to station # 6 and set this for 15 minutes. Go to station #7 and set this to off. Go to station #8 and set this to off. Go to station #9 and set this to off. Turn the dial to start time #1 and set this to 3:00 am. Turn start time #2 and start time #3 to off. I don't know what days you want to water, but lets say mon. wed. fri. Just go to the days you want to water and either hit the plus button to turn it on or off for the days you want to water. Now put the switch to B. Start with station/valve run time #1 and set this to off. Go to station #2 and set it for 15 minutes(or the amount of time you want). Go to station#3 and set it to off.Go to station#4 and set it to off. Go to station #5 and set it to off. Go to station #6 and set it to off. Go to station#7 and set it for 15 minutes. Go to station#8 and set it for 15 minutes. Go to station #9 and set it for 15 minutes. Now turn the dial to start time # 1 and set it to 8:00 pm. And turn start time #2 and start time #3 off. Again set the days you want it to water. Now put the dial back to current time, and the switch at the bottom to run. Now program A should run stations 1,3,4,5 and 6 for 15 minutes each at 3:00 am, and program B will run stations 2,7,8 and 9 for 15 each at 8:00pm. I for got, but you might want to check program C and make sure things are set to off, and nothing is programmed into C. It's good to see that somebody else knows the right way to spell SCHAEFER. Let me know if this works out for you, or if you need anymore help. Thanks and have a great day.
