Irritrol Master Control

Question
I've got a "Master Valve" error message.
Have looked thru the manual and sounds like maybe there was a short and I need to reset.  Wondering if when we had the house power washed it caused a problem.

I can't find any place the reset.

Any help would be appreciated.

Answer
Hey Scott, I hope this helps. First off, to reset the controller, take out the 9 volt battery(if it has one) and disconnect the power for about a minute. Then connect the power back to the unit, but don't install the battery until you're done programming it. Usually what the master valve error message is, is for a short in either the wire to the master valve or the solenoid on the master valve. Not all systems have master valves installed. To see if you have one hooked up, look in back of the controller, and see if there is a wire hooked to the MV(master valve) terminal. If there is a wire hooked up, then you probably have one installed. Just to let you know what this is, the master valve is a valve that must be opened by the controller, before any water can get to the rest of the valves. If this valve is not working, then the system will not work. This valve should be close to where the main turn on valve for the system located. Let me know if I can be of anymore help, thanks and have a great day.
