manual for James Hardie Irrigation

Question
I have a James Hardie System and I am trying to add new stations. It seems that the instructions that I received for it on the back of the Programming Watering system was numbered P/N 781001. The diagram on it does not match the station box I have. The number on the inside of the box where the wires are connected is P/N 790201. I am trying to add another station and am not able to do it even though it seems that I should have 18 stations using programs A,B,C and am only using 6 stations on program A. I need instructions for P/N 790201.I would appreciate your help. thank you Meg

Answer
Hey Meg, I hope this helps. Hardie was bought out by Irritrol. The web site is www.irritrol.com. Is there a model # or name on the controller? I would have no idea what the p/n (product #) would be for what controller. There should be a name or model # on the controller, and it should also say how many stations you have. Some models will have up to 18 stations, but even though some controllers will have 18 different slots in the back on the terminal strip, doesn't mean that the controller panel has 18 stations. For instance, the "Hardie" Rain-Dial controller comes in a 6, 9, or 12 station panel. They all use the same case with up to 12 slots on the terminal strip. But if the controller panel is only a 6 station module, you can only use up to 6 stations. The three programs(A,B,andC)(with a 6 station controller) will only handle "6" stations. Your controller panel would have to be at least a 9 station, to handle 7 stations. Just because you have three programs and a 6 station controller, does not mean you can hook up to 18 stations. I would go to the website above, and see if you recognize your controller. They also have downloads for all the controllers. They might also be able to tell you your model # with the p/n #. Good luck and have a great day.
