indentifying a houseplant

Question
I have this houseplant.  I think it is a succulent.  it used to grow little baby plants on its leaves, there sometimes would be 10 on each leaf.  Now the plant continues to grow, but no baby plants appear any more.  Can I root another one of these plants from a leaf, and why did the baby plants stop.  Also I would like to know what kind of plant it is.  Thank you.

Answer
I bet what you have is called a Mother of Thousands, a pretty common succulent, but I can't be sure without a picture.  I don't know why it isn't making "babies" now, but my only guess would be that it isn't in enough light, or that it is a seasonal thing.
