the tomatoes i planted this year are turning black(or rusting) and i need to know how to fix them. Can you help me??

Dear Sumer,
It is difficult to analyze by mail, but I have two thoughts.  One, there is a fungus of some kind or the plants have reacted to a fertilizer or something in the soil.  I would ask a local garden shop or nursery or even the local state farm agency if there have been any other cases reported.
