Houseplants are dying

Question
There are tiny yellow bugs crawling all over the leaves and in the soil of my plants.  The plants are dying.  I have sprayed with soapy water, I guess I am giving them a shower. I have sprayed them with insecticide, I guess I am giving them a treat.  They will not leave, what can I do?

Answer
Sounds like a aphid problem and possibly you are not getting good coverage when you are spraying. Try using a product with the active ingredient Imidacloprd. This can be found in most garden shops that have a good inventory of home and garden pesticides and is applied as a soil drench. This product takes a while to work as it has to taken up through the root system. You may also look into using a product with the active ingredient spinsod. Spinsod is very safe to use but really needs good coverage when you spray to work, so you may have to remove the plants to a outside area to spray. If you take your plants outside please bring them out to a semi shaded area so they do not get sun burned. I hope this will solve your problem.
