bitter sprouts

Question
I've been growing broccoli sprouts for some time now with no problem, just using a plate and paper towel in a dark cupboard.  Recently I've switched to using a sprouter (plastic self-draining containers).  Since switching to the sprouter my sprouts taste so bitter that I can hardly eat them.  They also appear somewhat brown around the edges which I think is because of inadequate drainage/high humidity in the closed container.  Could this also be the reason for the bitterness?  Thank you

Answer
Dear Rebecca,
I think you need to go back to your original method.  There may actually be some sort of mold or fungus now involved causing both poor color and bitterness.  I wouldn't continue eating them.
Kind Regards,
KD Liz
