cucumbers, cantaloupe, zuccini

Question
will these guys cross pollinate if in the same area of the garden????????????

Answer
Cheryl,

If you are planning to save your own seed, the cucumber and zucchini could cross pollinate as they are both in the squash family.  The cantaloupe will be fine grown with the other two.  If you are not planning to grow for seed then there is no problem growing all three together.

For squash you want to have about 100 feet between varieties to avoid cross pollination.

I am sorry it took so long to get back to you I was away from my computer for a few days.  If you have any other questions regarding this or anything else gardening please let me know.

Happy growing,
Catherine Abbott
