Tulip Planting – Drought

Q: I am thinking about planting tulips this fall. Will our current drought affect them?

A: There will be no damage from the drought at all, but remember that the best time to plant tulips is in mid-October, not now. You can buy them when they are available but store them in a dry, cool place until nighttime temperatures are 60 degrees or less.
