Howdy! We just had a freeze and our chili piquin plants froze before we picked the peppers off. Are they ok to eat? How about other food like tomatoes and watermelon?

Mary:
The foods are safe, if that is what you mean, but may not be very good. The tomatoes will probably be mushy and so will the watermelon. The peppers will probably be ok, but won't store. Taste everything and if they still have good flavor I would recommend cooking the tomatoes and peppers.
