When is the best time to plant red tips?

Hi Brenda,  Fall is the best time to plant.  You'll get good root development before the stress of the next summer.  Before you plant them, check with your local nurseryman.  In some areas, photinias are attacked by a leaf disease that requires them to be sprayed every couple of weeks. If Entomosporium leaf spot is a problem in your area, consider a different plant.  Jim
