Flowering D. Filiformis

Question
I got my red leaf D. filiformis from you guys about a month ago. It has many new leaves starting to form and I noticed that it is sending up a flower stalk.  Should I cut it off so the plant doesn't use too much energy?  The plant looks healthy and I've been following your advice on your website, but I didn't see anything about whether to let it flower.
Thanks!

Answer
Hi Jonathan,

This is really a judgment call on your part.  As long as the plant is getting lots of sunlight and the leaves are red, there's no reason why you can't enjoy the flowers too.  We only recommend cutting off flowers if the plant is unhealthy.  So as long as the plant appears healthy to you, enjoy the blooms.

Good growing!
