Lampranthus Propogation

Question
I am growing Lampranthus aurantiacus and Lampranthus Productus.  I was wondering if I can get seeds from these plants, and if so how?  I was also wondering how I can make them spread faster?  I apreciate any help you can give me.

Thankfully,
James

Answer
Hi Jim,
Thanx for your question.  I apologize for the delay.  I was out of town this week and forgot to put myself out of availability.

After the plant has bloomed a brownish, small seed pod will form.  When it appears fairly dry, carefully remove it.  The seeds are small and black, gray or brownish slightly smaller than poppy seeds.  You can propigate these plants by cuttings.  Take individual stems and stick them in the ground and they should take root in a couple of weeks.

For more information do a Google.com search and type in Lampranthus auantiacus or Lampranthus productus.  This should get you a number of results.

I hope this helps.

Tom
