wisteria dominuchi/honbeni

Question
Wisteria Dominuchi which is in bloom now (spring) purple bunch of small flowers .This plant is a vine other one I know of is Wisteria Honbeni which has pink bunch of flowers but same genra . Please advise the method of propagation and the time.Thank you in anticipation.PS.I have tried hardstem with rooting powder no success.

Answer
Thank you for your question.

Use green wood cuttings and take off all of the leaves except the top two or three.  Use the rooting powder where you cut the stem away from the main branch.  Keep the cutting moist and use a soil less mix.  These plants will also make seeds which easily germinate within 2 weeks to 30 days at 70 degrees.  The plant will also sometimes have suckers growing around it.  These are baby plants that are still attached to the mother plant.  You can dig them up and separate them from the mother plant and transplant them somewhere else.  I hope this helps.
