Question
Please tell us how to remove and prevent spots forming in the leaves of the Yucca tree?  We live in Central Florida in an area that occasionally gets frost.  Our Yucca trees surround our house.  Most of them developed black spots that force us to remove the leaves.  We are planning on pruning them in March and would like to know how to keep them healthy and spot free.

Thanks for your question.  The problem you describe sounds like a fungus.  Your local nursery should have a good anti-fungal agent you can apply to the plant.  Yuccas get spots from too much moisture on the leaves or from other diseased plants/leaves.  Remove all of the dead material and dispose of it so it no longer comes into contact with anything in your yard.  Apply the anti-fungal agent per directions on the package.  I hope this helps.
