Myrtle Seed

Question
I have Myrle extensively around my home. In most areas it is doing just fine.
I have an area however where it has been dying off. In this area I have noticed that where it has

reseeded itself those plants seem to be doing better than the plants that I have replanted.

Therefore I am trying to buy some Myrtle (Vinca Minor) seeds. These should be of the common

variety with small purple flowers in the spring.

Please contact me if you have seeds available or can recommend a source.
I also would be happy to trade plants for seeds.

Answer
Hi Harold,
Thanx for your question.  I'm unaware of any companies that sell perwinkle seed (Vinca minor).  There are some annual forms for sale in Burpee's, Parks and other online nurseries but it's not the purple variety for which you are looking.  I see these plants all the time in the nurseries in the ground cover section, already rooted and potted.  You can do a Google search for periwinkle seeds, Vinca minor seeds...There was a lot of material but I didn't see anything that applied to your request.  You may want to go in and research deeper.  I hope this helps.
Tom
