brown spots on white flower

Question
I have a white flowered Av that when the flower buds open, the buds dont appear to have any marking whilst they're developing,  get brown spots on the flower.  No other part of the plant has brown spots/markings.  I do remove the flowers that develop this stain effect but then I'm always only left with beautiful buds and no pure white flowers.

Answer
I have had this happen to my flowers before, however, I can't tell exactly why.  It usually has to do with too strong of sunlight, or sometimes it occurs when the flowers are on the "downside" of flowering and beginning to wilt, in which case removing them would stimulate the plant to produce more blooms.  This is all I can offer at this time.

ADDENDUM:
I wanted at add something to my answer above.  I have occasionally found brown spots on light colored flowers which are caused by bruising.  In other words, something touched them to cause the bruising, either a finger, pot rim, soil or even a pet in some cases. Just something else for you to consider and look out for.
