Pony Tail Flower

Question
HI. My outdoor pony tail about 1.5 metres tall has recently flowered. It was transfered to the ground from a pot about 4 months ago and flowered with-in 2 months, now the flower has dried out and it just a long thin twiggy stick. The bottoms of the leaves are all turning yellow and it has about 15 new babies sprouting from the bottom of the trunk. I would like to know how do I remove the flower with out killing the plant and how do I remove the new shoots (or do I just leave them). Thank you

Answer
Hi Jo, you can leave the flower do drop off on its own account, or just snip it off yourself, its not going to effect the plant at all; the babies can be removed for aesthetics if you please, or allowed to grow until they are larger and  then removed and replanted. Nick
