Pony Tail Palm

Question
I have a Pony tail Palm approx 5ft doing extremely well (indirect sun) problem is too close to fondation and too close to a/c it was suggested I move it. The only location I have is the middle of my byard (all sun) but in the summer I water the byard 2x a day for 10 mins each is that too much water for the pony tail

Answer
Hi Gloria, I don't know why you are moving it, they don't haave much of a root system, but if you must, then consider the fact that they require very little water, for that big bulbular bottom acts as a resivoir, and they can go a long time without rain. If you force too much water on them, the bottom leaves will begin to yellow, which won't hurt the palm, but will tell you to back off watering. Nick
