Question
I was cutting my vine from a wood trellis to put it on a old metal trellis and accidentally cut a big piece off. I put it in a jar of water hoping it would send out roots and i could plant it also. will this work ? i hate to lose such a big piece! Thanks so much for your help!!!

Hi Vicki, actually, take a tip cutting from that piece and it will root; put it in a container with moist vermiculite (after dipping it in rooting hormone) and place a baggy over it to keep it evenly moist, then put it in a warm spot, out of the direct afternoon sun. It isn't feasible to try to root the entire big piece, just the tip...Nick
