Flowering Corn Plants

Question
I have a plant that I think is a corn plant, Long green leaves not yellow but lighter green in middle og left. Blooms are on a long stem and blooms are in small clusters of white. Only blooms at night and smells like a gardenia or lady of the night. Do you know what type it may be?

Answer
Hi Cindy, what you have is properly known as a Massangeana (Dracaena Fragrans) , commonly called (as you stated) a Corn Plant; it will bloom eventually and when it does it s somewhat fragrant. This is very easy to care for, and has few real requirements except a dose of Miracle Grow or Peters every 3 months or so and kept adequately irrigated. Few pests bother it and it is considered the perfect plant for a "non green thumb" person....:).Nick
