Corn plants

Question
I have a couple of corn plants outside and I want to know how to get rid of the bugs that eat the plant?

Answer
If you prefer to stay organic, I would use a product called rotenone. This is a natural insecticide that uses a derivative from a tropical plant. It comes in a powder, so you would simply sprinkle the powder on top of the plant.

If the silks have not formed, you could use a chemical insecticide such as Sevin. This is readily available in most stores and is also highly effective. It comes in both powder and concentrate, so choose what is right for you.

Good luck, and please write again if I can ever provide assistance.

Regards,

Mike
