Cypress trees live along rivers, streams and creeks as well as in swamps. Cypress trees can live to be 600 years old. Baldcypress can live over 1,000 years. The world's largest tree, the General Sherman tree in Sequoia National Park, Calif., may be a mere 2,100 to 2,200 years old.
