what tree has round pine cones like a golf ball, and very tiney needles? its about 40 ft tall and turns in the autum like the native trees here. i live in w.ill on the mississippi. thanks

I believe the Tree you are describing is a Bald Cypress or Taxodium distichum. it is nota pine tree but a deciduous conifer. Meaning that it has needles like a conifer but loses them in the winter. Look up Bald Cypress on Google images and see if it matches your tree. Good Luck! Gary
