Questioni have a ginkgo tree about 25 ft. tall,just a young one ,i was wondering if i could cut a couple of branches of the bottom without harming it thank you.
AnswerYes you can prune the bottom branches without harming the tree. As long as you do not cut the top off the tree will be fine.Prune the branch off about 1/4 inch from the trunk. This will leave a branch collar and the wound will heal over by itself.
