Arborvite damage

Question
I have an arborvite that got no sun exposure on one side for a summer and a half.  It is totally brown, as you can imagine.  Can I bring this side back?  The rest of the plant is healthy except some inner branch die off.  It gets good sun and it rains a lot here in Maine. Thanks

Answer
Gaye,
There is a chance, however, it will take awhile for the plant to regrow.
You will need to drastically prune the brown side to stimulate new growth. As I said, this will take a long time to recover from because Arborvitae are slow growers.
Fertilize the plant twice a year to help speed the process up.
Good luck.
