Leaves.

Question
Why is it, no matter how much fertiliser and TLC my roses get, the leaves all fall off towards the end of summer. No matter whether they are climbers, bush roses or the others they all do the same. They are bare stemmed even when there are still flowers on them.

Would appreciate some advice here. Thank you.

Answer
Hi.......you don't mention what state you are in, but here in the south it is sooooo humid all season that i fight the same thing , even in a huge garden like ours.

I am taking for granted that you are following ,at least, an "every two week" fungicide program?  If not, start now.  And add something special to your sprayer....put in a tablespoon of Miracle Gro powder per gallon.  This will feed "foliar"(thru the leaves) and bring on that new growth you so desire! Continue feeding/watering and supplement at least once a month with a liquid fertilizer(organic or synthetic).

Just be patient, fall will bring on a luscious flush of blooms and the cooler weather will insure green growth.
