Question
Hi - My knockout roses just having white on them. We are in Orlando Florida and have had the normal amount of rain for here. I noticed this hard brown thing that looked sort of like a mushroom but it was hard and brown that was growing under the rose bush. Could that have caused it?

What you describe as white,is a fungus on the rose and spraying the rose with any rose fungicide will solve the problem for you. If the "hard brown thing" isn't attatched to any part of the rose canes, then it would not cause the rose  problem. It just could be that the growth requires the same conditions as the mould does, such as damp weather or warm days and cooler nights. Hope this helps.
