Abe Lincoln bush w/ mildew & buggy leaves

Question
My bush was fine when 1st planted w/ beautiful blooms.  Now the leaves are mildewy, buggy & some are even crinkly and brown.  It doesn't get a lot of sun.  I'm not familiar w/ care of roses so I need help.

Answer
Mr. Lincoln is one of the best red Hybrid Teas but he is not the easiest of roses to grow. In fact he can re-act to many things. He also needs a lot of sun, at least 8 hours. The mildew is not your fault as Mr. Lincoln is prone to mildew and gets it very easily. Mix up 1 tablespoon of baking soda to 1 quart of water and keep spraying the leaves until the mildew goes away. If your days are warm and your nighs are cool, then this causes mildew in all roses, so you may have to buy a spray for rose mildew as it will be harder to get rid of when conditions are ideal for it.
The brown on the rose leaves is probably because the rose isn't getting enough water. Roses need a bucket of water every 5 days. I would make a trough around the rose and slowly pour the water in until it goes down deep.
In regards to the bugs. If you can see them then just pick them off and squash them but if there are many and they are small, then I would get a rose insecticidal spray. Make sure you also use it all around the base of the rose as that is where many insects lay their eggs.
