QUESTION: I'm looking for a rose to give as a gift to parents whose daughter died recently. Her name was Kiah - her nickname was Hollywood. Any ideas? Friends gave my husband and I two 'Mother's Love' rose bushes when our mothers died within days of each other, and it was (and remains) such a wonderful gift.

ANSWER: I have searched all my rose data bases and there are no roses with the name Kiah or starting with Hollywood. But there are some with nice sounding names which might be suitable. The problem can often be that although the name of the rose is right, finding a nursery that carries it can be difficult. I can give you some names and those nurseries that still carry the rose if you can tell me what State you are in. Selecting a rose is always based on the climate it has to grow in.
