Hi,

I have double knockout rose bushes. This is their second spring.
Last year did great. This spring had problems with tiny holes in center of leaves. Saw aphids. Sprayed the leaves. Have a lot of buds that have no discoloration on the tips or bud leaf, however, the buds haven't opened. Any suggestions? Live in Silver Spring, Maryland.

Hi Mary,

My first instinct is that cool weather or cloudy days have slowed them down.  Even here in SC we had a cool down and the roses actually turned brown and did not open.

If the foliage looks fine and the buds are not turning brown it is probably the weather.  

Have you fertilized them yet?
