I have these beetle (navy blue to black)that are laying eggs and eating all the leaves off the tree, they have come back for the last 2 years, how do I get ride of them, (kill them).  What product would you recommend.

Hi Barbara,
Thanx for your question.  It sounds like you have an infestation of imported willow beetle.  You can use organic treatments like bacillus thuringiensis, horticultural oil or chemicals like imidocloprid.  Follow the directions on the packages.  Here is a link from the University of Connecticut on willow problems.  I hope this helps.
