Potted delphinium care

Question
I just bought a potted delphinium at Target.  It is truly lovely but I have NO experience with plants of any kind.  Can you please tell me how to care for it?  I have found instructions for gardening and with very technical terms.  I don't have a garden and all the jargon simply confuses me.  I would like to know how many times a week to water it.  If I should keep it indoors or out (I live in Florida).  It is blooming now - will it continue to bloom or will this only happen at certain times of the year and should I re-pot it into a larger pot?
Thank you VERY much for your help.

Answer
Hi Peggy,
Thanx for your question.  I would plant the delphinium outdoors in a spot that gets full sun but is sheltered from lots of wind.  You may want to stake the plant too because they have a tendency to droop over.  You get nice rains in Florida but if you ever go a week without water the plant deeply, meaning give it a good long soaking.  Use some composted manure available at the nursery and place it around the plant in the spring as it emerges from the ground, in June and then in August.  Don't fertilize once fall comes.  This is a perennial and it should come back for about 3-5 years.  I hope this helps.
Tom
