Question
Hello.  I live in eastern NC.  I have some Veronica Sunny Border Blue that is in desperate need of help. The leaves about 1/2 to 1/3 of the way at the bottom are brown and dead.  (It starts at the bottom and works it's way up.)  I've read they need well drained soil and we added a pre-mixed/bagged soil conditioner to the dirt before planting.  They get watered about twice a week.  What do I do?  Thanks

Answer
Hi Kristie,
The problem you describe seems to be common with this plant.  I would only water them once a week too.  Does you soil not drain well?  They don't like that.  But, I think what's happening to your plants is pretty normal.  There may be too much moisture in the soil.  Veronicas are pretty much pest free, disease free. I'd cut back on the watering.  I hope this helps.
Tom
