QuestionI feed the plant on a regular basis. It has not bloomed in two years, but all my others have. Your comments please
AnswerRichard, dendrobiums require a rest period during which watering is greatly restricted and feeding is withheld. Watering and feeding can be restored when new growth appears. When feeding, use bloom booster food. The best flowering is achieved under high light conditions which produce a near straw-like color in the canes. Because that particular hybrid is not registered, there is no information available about its parentage. Cool growing dendrobiums bud directly from the canes, while warm growing types have actual flower spikes on which the flowers appear. That could be clue as to the temperature at which you should be growing the plant.
