I am new to orchid horticulture...can you recommend or suggest a book or two regarding cultivating/growing orchids?

The best beginner's book on orchid culture (my opinion) was written by the late Rebecca Tyson Northen.  It is titled "Home Orchid Growing".  I like it because it is so comprehensive. I believe the Fourth Edition (1990)was her last, but any the the earlier editions are also very good.
