house plant identity

Question
Hi Darlene, I recently bought an african violet, and also a couple of foliage plants( I assume ). Let me describe them to you. I'll describe the leaf color and texture. Top of leaf is deep red, with green veins. Bottom of leaf, has a mottled appearance, pinkish color, with deep red veins. I've seen these little plants in garden centers all my life, but for the life of me can't remember their name. Thank you,
Kurt.

Answer
Kurt,

Some begonias have coloring similar to what you describe but most other house plants have the reverse and are green on top with deep red underneath. I am not sure what you are talking about.  Sorry.  You can email me a picture to [email protected] and I will see if I can identify it for you.  Good luck with it.
