Antherium potting soil

Question
Dear Will,
Could I use orchid potting soil for my antherium?

Thanx,
Jane

Answer
Hi Jane,

Yes, you could, although I would recommend that you add one part peat moss to one part Orchid mix.

Anthurium roots are a bit finer than Orchids and they cannot tolerate quite as much dryness. If you add some peat, that will help retain moisture for a longer period. If you don't add peat you will have to water more frequently that you would an Orchid.

Please let me know if any of this is unclear or if you have any additional questions.
