Aloe Vera Flowering

Question
Will-

I have a aloe vera plant that is about 1 foot tall, and in a 1 foot deep, 1/2 foot wide pot.  I water it every two weeks or so, with a cactus/succulent fertilizer, and it is planted in succulent soil as well.

I'm wondering how to produce flowers on the aloe vera if at all possible - and how to best care for it.

Thanks,

Andrew

Answer
Hi Andrew,

Aloe veras rarely bloom indoors because they require a lot of direct sunlight, for starters. They also have to be quite potbound and in the same pot for at least several years. If you don't have a sunny south-facing window, try keeping it outside during the months when temps are above 60 degrees.

Please let me know if any of this is unclear or if you have any additional questions.
