Pests in Corn Plant

Question
Hello,
I purchased two corn plants about a month ago. Just recently while watering in my kitchen sink, (eww) I saw centipedes crawling in the sink and the plant. I want to get rid of them now! Please tell me how without harming the plant.
Thank you

Answer
Hi Amy,

Plunge your corn plant up to the rim of the pot in a tub of room temperature water. Leave it for about 30 minutes. This will cause the critters to abandon the soil in search of air. Let the soil drip dry when you are done. You may need to repeat the process in a week.

Please let me know if any of this is unclear or if you have any additional questions.
