Care for pletheanthus (Cape Angel) plant

Question
We just bought this plant and need to know what kind of care it needs.  It might be in an 8 inch pot.

I'm sorry, I don't know whether it is an indoor plant or not.

Thank you,     Don

Answer
Hi Don,

The correct name for this plant is Plectranthus sp. 'Cape Angel White.' It is in the Swedish ivy family.

If you live in a warm climate (Zone 9-11), then you could use it as an outdoor plant. Otherwise you should use it as an indoor plant so it can survive the cold winters.

If you plan to use it indoors, then keep it in its existing pot, place it in a sunny window, and water it thoroughly as soon as the surface of the soil feels dry. Fertilize it at half-strength monthly during the warmer months.

Please let me know if any of this is unclear or if you have any additional questions.
