Indoor Yucca plants

Question
I have 4 single yucca plants the biggest being 3/4 of a meter, then one appro 1/2 meter, next 2 are 1/4 of a meter. they are in a pot 1/2 meter deep pot by 300 spuare. They have never been real healthy but they are getting worse. they are in the living room in front of the window that has sun beaming through for 1/2 a day. I put them out on the porch to get more sun (as they are looking droopy) for 2 days and now the leaves have gone white in the center and half way up the leves from the tip they are going brown and dead. i love the yucca's, how do i revive my plants and get them looking great?

Answer
Hi Leanne,

The pot is too big, although I must confess that I do not know what "300 square" means. That is probably why they have languished. Moving them outside where the sun is much more intense is what has caused the leaves to discolor.

Already damaged leaves cannot be revived so they should be cut off. Keep the plants inside in a sunny window.

If the roots are healthy, then new growth that comes in should be healthy. However, if the pot is too big, as I suspect it is,  then the roots may be rotting and there is little that can be done except to make sure that the soil dries deep into the pot in between waterings.

Please let me know if any of this is unclear or if you have any additional questions.
